Soccer Programs

ASA Programs

We run a variety of programs suitable for every skill level throughout the year. you may request for your child to play in a different age group that  meets their ability level. Read below for a brief idea about each program, and click the links to learn more.

Kickin' It! - Age 3 to Kindergarten
The Kickin' It! program offers weekly clinic-style sessions designed specifically for the younger players. The six week sessions take place on Sundays in the spring and fall.

In Town League - Grades 1-2
Older Kickin' It! players in first and second grade practice one evening during the week and play one game on the weekend. This program focuses on fun and skill development while giving them their first opportunities to play refereed matches.

MVP League - Grade 3 and 4

MVP league is a local travel league with teams from Amesbury, Newburyport, Groveland, West Newbury, and Merrimac.  This instructional league is designed to further skill development and give players their first chance to play teams from other towns.  Our teams practice twice per week with most games on Saturdays.  Games are 7 v 7 with 25 minute halves.

ECYSA Travel Soccer - Grade 5 and up
ASA participates in two seasons of Essex County Youth Soccer Association soccer each year - fall and spring. There are 8 games per season (4 home and 4 away at other area Essex County towns). Practices typically are two days per week with games on Saturdays. More league information can be found at ecysa.org.

Summer Soccer
The Summer Soccer program is designed and focused on developing players of all ages and skill levels in a lightly competitive environment.

TOPSoccer

TOPSoccer is a community-based soccer program that pairs players with significant disabilities with youth volunteers and ASA coaches.

Goalkeeper Clinics
Our popular Goalkeeping Clinics are usually held during each travel season and are open to all registered ASA players Grade 3 and older.


Fields for Kids

Amesbury Soccer Association (ASA) proposes a new strategy to realize a longstanding vision to improve soccer fields for the enjoyment of the town and visiting teams; the safety of the players, referees, coaches and families; and to preserve and protect the fields in our community.
